I had to cut the wires connecting my rear view mirror to my car. I had to drive it (in the rain) and didn't want
wikkidgothbabe to get all wet by holding the mirror in her hand as we drove to keep it from flopping all over the side of the car and obliterating the door paint. (Did you follow all that?)
The soonest Car Craft Collision can take my car in for USAA authorized inspection is Monday. Although
xkyx suggested that perhaps I just have it repaired and not report it to the insurance for the sake of saving on premiums - not a bad idea, mind you - I can't. Thanks to minoring in auto mechanics in college and having had many a muscle car, I can tell you already that the repair exceeds my deductible. Fortunately, I made sure to get the smallest deductible possible: $50.00. I couldn't convince USAA to give me no deductible, but I can live with $50.00. I'm sure I'd be feeling it bad if the deductible were higher than that right now.
Mom and Dad suggested that I call up Enterprise Rental today and tell them I'd be making arrangements via USAA so that even though I won't be paying upfront with cash, they'll still give me a car. Besides, I have $600.00 or so in car rental insurance that I'm PAYING for, so I might as well use it.
Rent is going to be tight this month. But I am having extreme Faith that I'll make it. Car payment could be worse, but I think I can work out a deal with a few staggered checks. Besides, December is my best tip month, so hopefully Auto One will go for me paying one car payment on the 4th, and the other two at the end of December.
Thus, I have been eBaying a bit. Boy, those pics sure come out nice with a digital camera. You can see how well I did if you check out my auctions under the "RazorMist" handle (click here:

I'm finding that although it looks a little strange on the display screen on the camera, the flash being added in seems to make the pics much better in these dark areas of the House of Shame. Fortunately, with a 128mb memory card in the camera, I can afford to experiment a bit!
Both of my sister's are coming to see Fiddler tomorrow! Yay! I almost can't believe it! Karol did me a huge favor by squeezing them in tomorrow. By all rights, she should have probably said she couldn't, but she did anyhow - and I get to wait on them! Yay x2!! I must remember to bring the camera - opportunities like this don't present themselves every day!
Well, time to change the laundry downstairs. I'd rather like to have underwear for tomorrow, so I'm off!
