You dont get to judge me.
I came across someone who was against homosexuality recently. Although it makes me angry, I cant help but feel bad for this person. This person is so close minded, that they hate what they dont understand. They are ignorant to all of the circumstances, and unwilling to understand someone else's views.
I dont believe in religion for one main reason. "Religion" mainly tells me Im going to hell for being the person I am. Not because I have piercings, not because I have tattoos, but because I love the same sex. How is it a murderer can ask for forgiveness and be forgiven on the brink of death and sent to heaven... but I cannot because I chose to follow my heart? Ive been told God makes each and every one of us. He knows us so far before our existance that we cannot comprehend.. tell me why God would make some of his children doomed to be sent to hell for who they are. According to these people Im going to hell because there is a force that I am not in control of that makes me attracted to females and I love them.. and its wrong. First off, no one should judge anyone else. No matter how "ranked" you are, no matter how long you've been in a religion you dont get to pass judgement on anyone else. It isnt your place.
There are many religious. Each with rules and regulations. Catholics can drink. Some mormons dont believe in birth control, so on and so forth... All of these religious have a common thread, they believe in and worship God. There isnt a designated right and wrong religion. I dont believe the Lutherans wont go to heaven because Baptists believe and practice all that is right in following God. I know there are a few religions who accept and/or tolerate homosexuality. So... as long as your heart is in the right place and you believe in and love God you should be fine.
Then why do people still continue to hate the GLBT community for being who they are and living their lives? It's not any of their business anyway. THEY are not the ones who are discriminated on a daily basis just because of WHO they are.
You say you see two men kissing? Or two women holding hands? Gays and lesbians see the same from heterosexuals so frequently it's unnecessary.
You say its a choice, being homosexual... Okay... could YOU make yourself love and be attracted to the opposite of your preferred sex? It's impossible.
You say two mothers/fathers are unfit to raise children? They might influence the young ones to be gay? Two loving parents are two loving parents. Why is a crackhead mother or alcoholic father (both heterosexual) more fit to raise a child? Influence a child to be gay... refer to the above paragraph.
You say "its just not natural/right." Love knows no gender.
You can take away our marriage but you'll never take away our love.
