Yesterday, I officially became a member of the working world (meaning I got my first paycheck.) I'm going from $700 a month to $2G's a month. Now, I am aware that it's not really a lot, but considering I was living in an apt, buying food, paying bills, and what not on $700 a month, then $2000 is looking pretty cheery. The first thing my mother did after hearing about my successful paycheck was promptly to hand over my car payment. Damn. I was hoping to get out of that for a bit.
I've found myself being nice and going to car shows recently. They are not as incredibly boring as I thought they would be. I kinda like looking at older cars. They are kinda interesting. I also got to spend some more time with "The Parents." They like me. Too bad the feeling from my parents isn't the same. It kinda bothers me. I mean they're the ones who are all like "you need to forgive and forget" and "put others first." This is precisely what I do and then they get annoyed or whatever with me.
The honeymoon period is over with my students. This means that they will stop being good, and start acting like the wonderful little monsters that they can be. At least I have a full staff right now. I hope that stays this way the whole year.
