omgoodness. so the hubby and i will be going on our much delayed honeymoon next month to london. i had purchased the plane tickets in december but have been kind of lazy on planning and resesarch. BUT i don't want to have to sleep on a park bench because i tried to book a hotel too late. haha. let me just say with all the available options of hotels, motels, b and b's, apartments, easyhotels, hostels that it made me want to cry. luckily, there were parameters in this search, he wanted to stay somewhere newer, i wanted a private bathroom (sharing bathrooms? no thanks) and as close to a tube state as possible for those days we've been on our feet all day --- who wants to walk back more to the room after walking 8+ hours already??
anyways, i found a really nice hotel on orbitz and right when i was about to book it, it disappeared! i guess someone booked the last one as i was looking. :( it's sad how everything cost like $200 a night and rooms are tiny. this one looked promising as reviews said it was clean, close to london eye/big ben, and FREE wifi. (the prices for wifi per night at some places were ridiculous! i did a search through other websites on the same hotel, had to call in bc a site was not picking up the right room pricing ----> got india (cries!) and an operator who thought he was a smartass -- gave up and booked the hotel by myself through the hotel instead.
i don't know if it was the smartass operator that got me working but after the hotel, i booked our train tickets to paris for a day trip, and our stonehenge guided day trip. then i turned to the hubby and told him "i just spent $2500!" O_o
add in the plane tickets and what we will spend = sa + gil eating rice and soy sauce for a month before we leave. LOL.
