"Often an entire city has suffered because of an evil man."
Hesiod (~800 BC), Works and Days
Or in my case, an entire family. Such is the insane malice of this woman that She has become a constant fixture of dread in all our lives. I go to extraordinary lengths to avoid her. She has driven away or made gun-shy even those closest to her. Her methods are many, below, a small sample of her catalog:
-abrupt and inexplicable mood swings
-slamming doors at all hours of the night.
-unusual sleep patterns, e.g., up all night, asleep 18-24 hours at a time.
-wildly off-based, speculative claims
-remorseless lying, deceitful, manipulative behaviors; esp. with an intent to undermine others' relationships.
-obsession with the financial, health, & relationship maladies of those around her.
-feelings of jealousy, persecution, and an irrational preoccupation with catastrophe.
-disproportionate sense of importance.
-et cetera.
Being around her is starting to make me feel unwell, exhausted, unable to care for things as I ought to. In short. I cannot wait to get away from her. She is a sick person who makes everyone around her sick. However intentional or unintentional she has wrought a great evil.
Two months. Just two more months. Hold on.
