There's no place like home
So went out to have a look at one store and then got hungry so despite my efforts to save and whatnot, I bought Thai express and in case I had to work I would have leftovers. Called in, not needed. So did a lot of walking which I should not have done. Tried taking the bus on my last remaining time for my bus transfer was null, I just wanted to put my food in the fridge and be home.Heehehe Home. It has a different feel to it when it's your own after so long. My legs hurt more than my arms do. It was a lot of repetitive up and down stairs and such yesterday and walking some distances, in the sun mind you, that it finally got me to limping. It's the back of my knee just a little lower on the calf. So this long process, I'd forgotten to contact the landlord to get some stuff going; however I think that they tried to come in to do some, the door tried to unlock but I had the second lock on since I was still in the waking up process. I waited around for them to return but it was nearing go time for buses in case I had to work. They might have better luck tomorrow before I get to work; hopefully. I'm still iffy on the idea that maintenance comes in while you're at work. :/ It's the privacy of the thing.
And I'm wondering about the state of my movies once I have them displayed on a shelf once more; it's the same with my computer. I was hoping to face the desk towards the windows but the rad/heater is along the bottom and the whole wall. I still have to make room for kitchen table and a futon. I know I have no room for the desk in my room as it's smaller. Hmm I might keep the movies and entertainment other than the tv and vcr I already took out, for after the parental units come in. According to mother she found me the futon for 75$ and it's hot pink. lol XD I had thought it was a funny joke and whatnot cause I also told her that I didn't want anything with flowers. I got stuck in a laughing/coughing fit. lol It's fine. I can always get a cover for it and such.
Trying to get used to the sounds as I slept last night. I hear the elevator land as people go to do laundry, and the door and their momentarily conversation. Which is fine. Morning came and I heard a few kids. Also the sun was horribly bright at 7:30 so I can't wait to set up my blackout curtains soon. I'm right by the main doorway so of course I hear when they try the intercom which is outside for a different take on security features. Will get used to that. I then only realize that I'm ground level so there will be close maintenance on the lawn. It's going to be a long summer lol but the upside of that is I love the smell of freshly cut grass. But I still had a bit of issues falling asleep of course. Half paranoia. The blinds doesn't cover all the lights and shadows and since I'm close to a light source, it creates them and I'm right at the walkway so of course when people are coming back home, I hear them and I think they are nearing my windows. Yeh to kick them. I know it's silly but I'm just a bit paranoid about it. I am really hoping it was a one time thing; maybe because the blinds were half open during open house perhaps. Although one of them has a small broken patch which is irking me a bit just because it's not even.
Here I thought that I would just go back to bed, took a nap earlier, but I'm almost done my movie. But I think I will catch more sleep afterwards, since I wasn't very productive but my leg still aches. And my sinuses so leaky today! Gawds. lol

I was assigned on floor today even with the late time start. Yeh, with my coughing symptoms every 5 seconds and my recent leg troubles. So I was door. Which was good, rather be standing still than rush around; especially with Iron Man 2 Tuesday. The system of course crashed long enough for them to write ticket passes; glad I was at door lol. Figured since opening weekend went smoothly, of course, because I wasn't there. XD So, Even with the small hiccup, it was less busy than what we expected. So I was sent home early...even though I could have finished because of the one bus. But I still got home fairly early and it was a nice tryout as my first venture home after work.
I want to start one load of laundry but I don't know the hours and I don't want to chance passing out. Hmm, maybe I'll wait to do about 2 loads on my day off tomorrow. :D That way it'll get me to place things until I get my furniture. Oooh I can use boxes as my shelves for now lol Genius! XD
So I'm hoping I can get a hold of either maintenance or the landlord on Wednesday to get at least my stove, tub and one wall in my living room done at least; things that take about 5 minutes really. Or if they do come in, I hope is when I'm already dressed and such, hate having people over and I'm still waking. And hopefully before I head out to meet up with Aurelie who is bringing me my toaster and foods and who will see the place. Not sure what else I would have planned, I mean, I'm trying not to buy anything else lol and with her bringing my foods I'm good for at least 2 meals. Perhaps actually clean the place since they haven't done that. I could live with that, but I still want some covering done.
Man I still craving orange cheddar popcorn. Not the shaker that you add but the one that came into a popping bag. I should try to eventually look for it.
