Virtual Con this Weekend

Apr 16, 2020 08:42

Write Hive is a writers' organization a writer friend belongs to. She contacted me nearly a year ago about this con, which they were putting together to be a virtual con, so that anyone with access to a computer could attend.

I haven't checked out the group except briefly--there are always too many tasks in a day to get to--but the writer friend is enthusiastic about it. Now that face to face cons are not happening, this one seems to be occurring at the right time.

As part of the program, on Sunday I will be doing a Q&A via Twitter (twitter, argh! But a learning experience); will post about it Sunday morning local time, though anyone reading here has probably asked whatever questions you wanted ages ago. But hey, it's out there.

Speaking of, another writing friend would like a signal boost to the Indies Unlimited Weekly Flash Challenge Contest. Like it says on the tin, happens weekly.

I also got behind on the Decamerons, but by now I suspect those who want to read them know where to find them. Things have been busy here; among all the usual brother in law has been tested for the virus. His temp is staying two degrees high right now, so we hope he'll just ride it out. He's close to sixty, but never smoked, no heart trouble, and is being good about isolation. (It helps that he's sixty miles from any of us.)

So there we are!
