As a birthday gift for me, rachelmanija commissioned telophase to paint a couple of characters from the YA apocalyptic novel we are about to finish. Take a look here to see the painting.
It's been so much fun writing this project--finding the complexities of the characters, discussing the velocity of arrows, Rachel looking up exactly how someone would use a knife on their arm to extract a magically growing thing . . . cracking up over lines. Mapping out the fantastically complicated climax, so it runs like a roller coaster.
There's just no bigger high than writing, except maybe seeing how others respond to ideas with their own creativity, as telophase has here--and as I will be posting tomorrow or Thursday, with another work of art that has been a full year in the making.
