Via rj_anderson, there's this interview with Elizabeth Wein which I found absorbing for all kinds of reasons. I mean, living in Jamaica--change ringing--how Medraut is an extension of Hamlet--combining Arthuriana with Aksum (which she makes work brilliantly in her YA series)--Star Wars.
I keep waiting for the fans of Megan Whalen Turner in particular to discover her series, which began with The Winter Prince. ETA (Which is hard to find. One can also get into the series through The Sunbird.
