Three Months Later

Jeremy slowly sat back in his office chair after finishing up his last bit of typing. He sent his story to his editor in an email before turning away from the monitor. The progressing sound of wheels told him Mark and the mail were almost at his desk. He looked up, “Whatcha got for me today, Mark?”
“Looks like a bunch of fun stuff,” Mark joked as he handed Jeremy what promised to be a bunch of junk.
“Thanks,” Jeremy said as he sorted through his mail. He threw away the top few pieces of junk mail and counted his bills before a hand-addressed envelop caught his eye. He quickly ripped open the letter and confirmed his hope: Bam Margera had written him back.

"Jeremy--
I was very sad to hear your grandfather died. Ryan was more than a friend; he was a brother to me. I remember the last time we talked. Christ, that was ten years ago! He told me all about you and your “obsession.” You were 15 at the time, and apparently getting into the same trouble we were at that age. He was so proud.
You want me to fill you in on all the things that Ryan didn’t tell you and all the things he didn’t know, huh? I suppose you want to know why I “disappeared from the spotlight?”
Well, fuck, I guess I might as well tell you. Most of my friends from back then are long gone. Missy passed away five years ago; Dico and Raab died six or seven years ago. Novak died when we were all still young; he never could kick his habit. I think the only other one left is Rake. That bastard will probably outlive cockroaches!
So, I guess you want to know the truth about THE RUMOR? I’m not surprised that Ryan wouldn’t talk about that. Truth is: Ryan didn’t know. None of them did, except Missy. Oh, I’m sure they suspected, hell everyone else seemed to, but nobody knew the truth. I will tell you Jeremy. Are you sure you are ready to hear the true story about me and Ville Valo?
Bam"
