Show rec - Strange Empire
Strange Empire is western set in 1869 up at the US/Canadian border about a group of women who settle in a mining camp after their menfolk are murdered, just trying to survive and make new lives for themselves.
I'm enjoying it for the interesting and diverse female characters,
Rebecca's one of the main characters, she's autistic and has mad medical skills. Morgan's a local cowboy attempting to woo her. Initially I assumed Morgan was trans (as did the writers of the little fic that's already on AO3) but in a later ep her motivations for passing as a dude are clarified.
