'Twas a dark and stormy....Hurrr?
So finally the sky just opened up and dumped on us for ten minutes, a mist went up from the road, total monsoon. We watched out the window, and after a bit I saw stars. It still sounded like it was still coming down pretty hard, but curiosity sent me outside.
Turns out it wasn't actually raining anymore, the downpour we were hearing was the trees shedding water onto the roof.
So Mike & I are standing out in the yard, looking up at the stars, lightning flashing in the distance. Not a drop landed on us. The sound of fat raindrops pattered enthusiastically on the wet ground behind us.
I felt like we'd just walked outside the boundary of a rather obnoxious party.
