Hello(ooo, ooo, ooo...). Is anyone still here?
So here are some things about me:
- Am looking for a new place to live. This is a LONG and FRUSTRATING story, but the bottom line is I have had it with the landlord and really want to live by myself. As much as I love my roommates...I do not love that we have different ways of looking at the world, and a

I would give the guy a second date. He definitely sounds nice, so absolute worst case scenario, you get another free meal and decent company. Then if it seems "sparkable", pursue it afterward; and if not, don't. Win/win!
I'm curious about Cabin in the Woods, because I'm a huge Joss Whedon fan, but I don't like horror movies at ALL (because I'm afraid to go to sleep afterward, lol). Why did you find it hilarious? Is it supposed to be funny, or scary, or both?
I want to get back into the Dresden books, but Cory's friend who was lending them to me one at a time joined the Marines and got shipped off to Japan! And I'm too cheap to buy them myself and too lazy to find and join a library and see if they have them. I'm kicking myself for not getting the whole series from Cory's friend before he left.
I feel like I'm one of the only ones left who still watches The Office religiously -- and there's a good reason for that, because it's not that great anymore in general -- but these last few episodes have been awesome. Nothing will ever compare to the Michael days, but it's been good lately.

Yeah, I should give him a second date. I know I should. And yet...I have yet to email him again.
Cabin in the Woods: Ok, I don't like horror, either, but not because it scares me, because I just normally do not find it interesting. This is basically a horror parody. I can't tell you WHY without giving something major away, but trust me, it is. And it is hilarious because it is a parody. (And because of the big thing I can't tell you.) It is really not scary at all. I would say, if you can watch Angel and Buffy, you are fine. There are some scary looking zombies, and some scary looking horror-movie staples, but it's all in good fun and camp.
I love Dresden. Where did you leave off? Have you met Thomas yet? (Probably, I think he was introduced in the 3rd book.) He is my favorite. Are you as annoyed as I am that evidently Harry and Murphy WILL NEVER GET TOGETHER? Also, I will say that while the first four or five books are fun for their individual cases, they are a set up for something bigger, and Jim Butcher puts it all together pretty seamlessly.
Re: The Office - maybe I am in the minority here, but i can't stand Catherine Tate. I know that's probably geek suicide, but I never watched Dr. Who, and this is the only thing I have ever seen her in. And man does she grate.

I've never watched Doctor Who either, and I've never seen Catherine Tate in anything else, and I agree that she's really grating. Some of the stuff she says is funny, but the whole show is so ridiculous right now, not in a Michael way, but in a this-would-never-ever-happen way that bugs me. I can't get over how she just moved in and took Andy's job by force, and Robert California is cool with it. I wonder if this is their way of phasing out Ed Helms so he can go be a movie star or whatever.
