Tonight
Has been most excellent. I met up with Old Roommate and Old Roommate's Boyfriend after work, and we went shopping for the winter storm, then went out to dinner, than came back to my apartment for some Buffy, cosmos, and chatting. It's snowing out (the BIG, historic storm has started here in the DC area), and I have a Christmas tree, and I opened the shades so we could see the snow, and it was so cozy and wonderful. Seriously, I know this is kind of sad, because I've lived here for most of my life, but there are very few people still living here who know me well. And my current roommate is weird and does not really know me at all. So, it's SO NICE to sit and hang out with people who know me as well as I know myself, and we can joke around and laugh and chat.... It was truly a perfect evening. I know this is bad, but I am crossing my fingers that Old Roommate gets snowed in here on Sunday and stays a bit longer. Oh, and also perfect? Current Roommate is at her boyfriend's house for the weekend, so she was not here tonight. Yay! Just like old times. I actually said tonight, "You guys, the old gang is back together again!"
I am also quite buzzed for the first time in I don't know how long. It's a good feeling.
