This weekend, I
* Read one of the best pieces of fanfiction ever. And then found out it was written years ago by someone who was in HIGH SCHOOL at the time. This is making me question whether it really was that good, if she really was that talented or if...I was smoking something at the time.
* Finally saw The Hangover with
sillyzilly2k . Very funny, and just what the doctor ordered for a hot Sunday afternoon. Speaking of hot: damn, Bradley Cooper. Damn.
* Watched "Beauty and the Beasts", "Homecoming" and "Band Candy" with Roommate. All great, and but I wished we could watched the next two, which are "Revelations" (WESLEY!!!!!!) and "Lovers Walk" (SPIKE!!!!) And then after that is "The Wish." I looked ahead, and there isn't a single episode left in season 3 that doesn't kick ass. So exciting! Also, Roommate loves what she calls Sexy Giles (aka, Badass Giles.) Which: duh. But it's still nice to witness. If she thinks he's hot now, wait till he kills Ben, and gives Willow the smackdown. Mmmm.
* Went looking for a new couch. Found one that is awesome, but got TOTALLY rebuffed by the saleswoman. As in, I went to ask her about it, and mid-sentence, she turned her back on me and started helping someone else. No, I am not joking. So, obviously, we left. It was the kind of thing that a.) you can't believe just happened and b.) makes you embarrassed, for some reason, even though it's not your fault. So yeah. Hey, Internet, don't go to Hamilton's Sofa Gallery in Rockville, MD. They suck! Fortunately, I think i've found the same sofa elsewhere.
* Had a fabulous dinner with Roommate and Roommate's Boyfriend on Friday night. Again: I will miss her.
* Worked out on Sunday, but didn't go to my gym to check in on Saturday. Because I'm scared for the weigh in. Bah.
* Got the Next to Normal cast recording from
newtonsophie in the mail. Yay! Listened to it, and teared up AGAIN at the scene/confrontation at towards the end of the show between the father and son. Seriously, y'all: Alice Ripley was great, but the real hero of show is J. Robert Spencer.
