Sunday, why did you have to come so fast?
I've had a great weekend to myself. Friday, Roommate and Roommate's Boyfriend ended up leaving around 7:30, so the evening was not a wash. I curled up on the couch with
Assassination Vacation for awhile, then ordered some food and caught up a bit on my DVR - including some FNL (see, I'm watching, even though I was bad and downloaded it during the Direct TV run) and
The Boys of Baraka. I've recently decided that I should watch some of the PBS shows the NEA funds. So I'm now recording POV and Independent Lens. This was a POV. And it was pretty good. Not as good as
The Old Man and the Storm or
Please Vote for Me, but pretty good all the same. (You all have no idea what I'm talking about, right? Sorry.)
Saturday I got up in time for my pilates class and went for the first time in months. MONTHS. I am so sore today. But it felt good. Got home around noon, and spent the rest of the day doing laundry, cleaning my apartment a bit, catching up on The Daily Show and Colbert from this week, more Assassination Vacation, and setting up my new email. Then in the evening, I settled down to watch Vicky Christina Barcelona (blah I try to like Woody Allen, but just don't. And also, I don't understand the hype over Peneople Cruz. She's fine in it, but nothing extraordinary).
Today so far, I slept in, and didn't go to this theater set construction thing. I justified it to myself by the fact that my core is currently mad at me, and therefore reaching and bending and all that would be hard to do. (Hee. That's what she said.) Just watched one of the academy award nominated documentaries -
Encounters at the End of the World.
Plans for the rest of my day include taking a walk, as it's 70 fucking degrees outside, according to my widget, cleaning my room, and meeting up with my parents and possibly
sillyzilly2k for dinner.
Has it been an exciting weekend? Not really. But I've accomplished things I wanted to accomplish - and for those of you wondering, yes that did include catching up on my Netflix, which is currently chockablock with Oscar nominated films, and my DVR.
This might be the most boring entry i've written. But it really has been a great weekend, and I wanted to document it.
Oh, and I have a new email, for anyone who might need to contact me outside LJ. It is:
