I am worried about the current state of both my music collection and my memory. Like the rest of America, I fear a decrease in my attention span. Here is why: I have a ton of music, right? Certainly not the biggest collection ever, but a fair amount. Also, I don't just buy music willy nilly; there is a careful screening process.

This happens to me, too, even though I have plenty of music. Sometimes it helps me to listen to the radio, or something--that way I listen to things I might not think about normally, and sometimes I find new stuff that I like. Also, YSI isn't a good option for me (I'm a dial-up dinosaur, so uploading takes forever), but I love making mix CDs for people...if you feel like you need new music, let me know what you like and what you already own, and I'd totally make you a mix. Just a thought. :)

Ugh, I'm sorry. That's a crappy feeling. If it makes you feel better, I'm fairly certain that I was more responsible at 16 than I am now. So maybe you're not totally crazy.

Wow, really? That is so nice. If you are serious, I might take you up on that. I also love making mix cds for people (it's a weird passion, I admit) so perhaps we can have a music exchange.

Heh. Yeah, I feel that way a lot, too. Once I hit college, I sort of wandered about for awhile. I'm trying to find my way back. I'm making progress, but I still feel like I have a long way to go.
