update
Wow I'm behind...well 9/16 was the day I was offered my promotion...I start tomorrow 10/3 training for 3 weeks up at SDC...I'm in training to be a developmental aide. I work for OMRDD...office of mental retardation and developmental disabilites, in Tupper Lake. My promotion from Secratary (KBS1) to Dev Aid puts me at the Mix Rd. House in Long Lake. I'm so excited, its midnights...11pm-9am (4 - 10 hr shifts, then 3 days off) and I know the clients.
Sally and I climbed Coney Mt (Sunday Sept 18) here in Franklin county.... 30 min up and 30 min down...nice views of Lake Lila, Little Tupper, Lows Lake, Buck Mt, Big Tupper, and surrounding highway. We were introduced by accident to "geo caching" very exciting....to find out more on this go to www.geocaching.com.
Mom and I took our fall vacation 9/22- 9/28 to Salem, MA and Martha's Vineyard. Both nice places... we biked around MV, and stayed in a Hostle.... the best experience ever. Making a scrapbook of pictures and ticket stubs. It was nice to get away....and I even got a tan and didn't beach it...(Lobster bisque, Edgartown)
This past weekend oct 1 & 2, Mom, Mim and I went to Warrensburgh for their annual "worlds largest garage sale" festival. Bought a night stand made of pine for $8...I'm going to strip the paint off it and take the "leather" top off it and do a moasic piece maybe of a cat and a clear stain...finally putting furniture in that bottom bedroom. Winter project. We went to Garnet Hill Lodge for dinner, 4 course buffet...soup ( manhatten clam chowder), salad (make your own), Buffet( corn, green beans, broccoil, carrots, baked beans, rice, mashed potatoes, onion pie, roast beef, salmon, ham, turkey, gravy, and dressings), and dessert ( pie - rasp or peach, ice cream -choc or vanilla, choc chip cookies, sugar cookies, and brownies). All with water, tea and wine for 17.95 (meal), 3.00 (wine).
Homecoming in 2 weeks... can't wait to show off my new body...I've lost 45 lbs since end of last Oct. and see all those sisters I haven't seen in forever.
