Otakon was the usual running around like crazy, changing, pictures, changing, scurrying around, finding people at inopportune times, meeting awesome people, and then having a blast after dinner. I think that this may have been one of the best Otakons I've been to- everyone was exceptionally great. I didn't feel like babysitting my camera, so I

You're probably the only person I would trust with my camera, I have no idea how you haven't gone crazy being camera-less for this long.
Yeah :/ my 60mm makes me feel cramped (at least indoors), and I feel like I can only really get close portraits with it since I have to get way the hell back to get anything more than the waist up with it... 24-70mm 2.8 L does sound good, but I almost want something more than 70mm just because oh man sniping pictures when people don't know you're doing it is so much fun.
I thought you sold your lenses? I'd love to have a lens party sometime though, I've been thinking about renting lately just to get a feel for the lenses before I buy them.
Basically I should really decide what I need this lens for before I go trying to decide which one to get... browsing lenses online is like being in a REALLY expensive candy store though, I just end up wanting everything. x__x

I think there's a 25-105mm or so, but it's a 4 L. Goddamn trade-offs!
Nah, I still have both my lenses. The Canon 50mm 1.4, and the Sigma 10-22 ... something. I forget the aperture on that one. They're both really nice. The lenses kind of just sit around in my room, just waiting for the day I get a new camera. I'd gladly bring by one or both if you wanted to try them out. As for renting, it's great! Or at least buying from a merchant that has a REALLY GOOD return policy and abusing that. I can give you some tips in that regard too.

Yeah, I hate the trade-offs. Then when you finally find something that looks like a good mix of everything you might want it's major $$$$$$.
