I just switched my LJ and DW to default to friendslocked.
I'll be going through my IJ to fix security there, too. Considering I'm going to need to do serious jobhunting soonish plus grad school apps, and I'm still planning to legally change my name eventually to, well, Sariel Di***, I figured better safe than sorry since by now I can't remember everything I've posted publicly over the years. Not like most of it's important or anything, but hey.
If I don't have you friended and you'd like access, just poke me in one of my journals or drop me an e-mail (preferably at s.lynn.d at gmail dot com). If I do have you friended and there's something you can't see but think you should be able to, do the same thing and I'll try to fix it. And if there's something that got linked somewhere and now doesn't work due to the friendslocking, let me know and I'll either unlock that specific post or repost it publicly somewhere else, if the above privacy concerns don't apply.
(Note that this change doesn't apply to my writing journals, in_media_res at IJ and DW; stuff will still be posted publicly or unlocked there as appropriate. But since most of the stuff there is some flavor of locked anyway, well, yeah.)
