The Shelley Family, Week one
Before the actual update, I'd like to address my sincere apologies to each and everyone of you for not being able to find the time to comment on all your lovely entries. I just wish school wasn't so hectic and I feel so bad that I can't show you my appreciation and support through my comments.
This week in particular was extremely busy because we had foreign students and teachers to take care of and show them our city as part of a project. Gosh, I'm so tired that I wrote the word "family" from the teaser with double L (fortunately I managed to fix it, lol)...
But you're not here for my babble, so let's move on ;)
First day of the week and the matchmaker is already present at Vanessa's front door to predict her future.
Matchmaker: "I see many, many babies! Oh wait, these are stains...gotta clean this thing more often" *takes out sponge*
Looks like my illustrious founder will not have a bright future after all...
But Vanessa couldn't care less about the scruffy crystal ball, she just set there quietly learning to play the piano by herself. She created such a lovely and serene atmosphere, vaguely glowing in the warmth of some candles, by playing easy, but beautiful songs...Vanessa, girl, you made me fall in love with my BaCC!
Being the supplier of the entire community, she has to get up really early to tend her garden. Something tells me she doesn't enjoy it as much as playing the piano.
First day at her new job, but unfortunately no promotion. I curse the day the game generated you, wonky matchmaker!
The moment the BaCC gods seem to be touched by Vanessa's subtle but ironic thoughts, a tricky creature called guilt slinks into their minds making them send our hardworking founder a little something to make her feel better.
Much better...Looks like some of those stains on the crystal ball were telling the truth!
Timothy: My work here is done and I expect nothing it return.
Awww then it must be true love <3
Vanessa: "I feel a little bit funny today. Maybe Timothy and I went a bit overboard last night..."
You think so? Is there a little voice in your head scolding you? Maybe the gods decided to send you a little dose of the feeling they experienced previously thanks to you...
Also, the dogs are not making the situation any easier. There is always a hole dug by one of these hyperactive souls on the edge of her lot.
Further proof of the fact presented earlier...except those dogs have fireflies instead of eyes ;)
Vanessa: "Oh, I'm pregnant! That actually explains everything :D "
Try to explain to Rudolf later, when you come back to your normal self, your wrongful conversations with him involving balls and underwear.
Fortunately, not everyone thinks Vanessa is nuts and they try to make her pregnancy easier.
Nicholas: "You're doing a great job at being a good founder and you're pretty as well :)"
Awww, Nicholas, you're a sweetheart, she really needed that. I hope you're not just trying to suck up to her because I, as an omnipotent god, have the right to end you when you're least expecting it with no one questioning my judgment.
Time flies when there's not much to do and the baby is already eager to be part of the pixel world. It was almost sad to see her give birth alone, in the dark :( The first baby of the community was a boy, named Carl Shelley, with light skin and eyes and his father's dark hair.
But Vanessa's garden isn't that kind to let her have a maternity leave, she she goes to harvest her tomatoes, just before the arrival of winter. Damn those dogs!
A neighbour occasionally stops by to take care of little Carl, but unfortunately he's never met his father. I'm starting to question his true feelings...
But on the last day of the week, Timothy comes to save his damsel in distress and her infant by kissing her on the porch in front of a very curious witness.
So little Carl had the pleasure to spend his birthday with both his parents who were happy to blow the candles for him.
That's it, everyone! Carl says good night :)
