It was around 60 degrees here in Pa earlier today and it made it a little difficult to believe it's still winter. Chris and I are heading for Megacon next weekend in Orlando and I'm only hoping we don't have to battle a snow storm like we did last year. We fly in early friday morning just in time for the show, so if the flight is delayed we're going to have some issues. We were in Jersey last weekend at Ubercon when that crazy storm hit. It's hard to complain too much since we've been pretty damn free of nasty weather this winter.
My third column went up today... I'm interviewing my friend Mary. This is my favorite drawing Chris has done for the column so far...she looks hot! Go check out the column and comment! =)
http://www.popcultureshock.com/features.php?id=1300 Through a friend of mine, I found the first project of 2006 for Silent Devil. There's this amazing writer, Josh, and he has this amazing artist from Argentina working with him, and I'm making sure his book gets published. I'm really excited to be an editor for Silent Devil, especially for this reason. it's awesome to find new talent and help make dreams come true. I'm now playing the fairy godmother role for a few people. I think I may get business cards made up! =P
I was thinking the other night how much I freaking miss my best friend. Dammit Jupie, you need to come visit me soon! =)
It's strange, I keep getting all this fan mail from my column, and It's so good to know that people are reading my column and love the idea I had for it. I just want people to realize that there are female comic readers out there and we're certainly growing every day.
I'm exhausted...between all the editing jobs, writing jobs, the paying job, and trying to manage all Chris' deadlines, I'm wearing thin. I'm just so excited for him because he's getting so many great opportunities and I really feel like this is going to be a good year for both of us.
