Happy 8-8-08!
I'm waiting for the Olympics to start. I like the diving and swimming and the gymnastics. But I am really into figure skating (I have this weird obsession with Michelle Kwan. I cried for days when she dropped out of the last Olympics when she got hurt.) but this is the wrong Olympics! So I'll make do.
So, today's rant is about that horrid 'I kissed a girl" song. I hate that song with a passion. It is so gimmicky and stupid and I hear it EVERYHWHERE. What really pisses me off is the girl who sings it is a preachers daughter, who used to sing Christian music, yet she sings a song about kissing a girl for an experiment. Yeah, because being 'godly' is all about using another human being as an experiment and singing about it in a stupid, highly-produced ditty that sticks in your head like a plague. I SEE YOU LEARNED A LOT IN CHURCH. WAY TO BE AN EXAMPLE!!!
No wonder believers are portrayed so badly in the media.
