Sadie, Sadie, married lady

Dudes, we had the nuptials!

It was a huge wedding. HUGE! Let's see...it was Steve and me, Robin & Patrick, and Aimee and Daisy. Oh, and Maggie was here, too, but she had to stay in the bedroom during the ceremony, because she likes to get underfoot and crotch-sniffy (Maggie being the dog, in case you didn't know; it'd be kind of odd if she were an aged aunt or something).

We had pizza, Patrick said a few really lovely words (he got ordained on the interwebs, see), Steve and I said some things to each other, we got pronounced husband and wife, then everyone signed paperwork. And then we had peanut butter and chocolate cheesecake, which I made because it's Patrick's favorite, and everyone else was obligingly effusive about it, too, and took all the leftovers home with them so I don't get gestational diabetes, because I can devour a cheesecake in approximately 2.5 seconds.

My vows were something like this: "Steve, I'm probably not going to obey you, but I promise not to intentionally aggravate you...more than 4 times a day. Occasionally I will try to do some housework. Thank you for the baby, and for making me not hate marriage anymore." And then Steve went and said some really romantic stuff that I totally didn't expect, and everyone clapped, and we were married!

And to update on the baby, everything is going fine. I've got about 2 1/2 months to go. We bought a crib and changing table last weekend, and we have the paint for the baby's room but still need to finish clearing it out before we can paint. It's currently still Steve's game room, so all the games have to be relocated to the other bedroom, which also needs to be painted first. Happily, my new *husband* is going to do all the painting while I'm at work, since even though it's no-VOC it can cause birth defects. You see? This is why I married him. He paints for me!

Well, that's all for now. Everyone jockey to congratulate me first! ;)
