This is what happens when I get stuck.

I just watched the movie Navigating the Heart because...well, basically because a) it was on Netflix, b) I ran into a wall with my
queer_bigbang, and c) I have a fairly ridiculous crush on Tim Matheson.

Aside from being weirdly early 90s-esque, despite being made in 2000, it was just a absurd as you might expect it to be should you bother googling the description. Honestly, if not for c) above, I would not have made it to the end.

But it did make me realize that I desperately, desperately want a huge inversion of this "big city girl meets small town guy" cliche. I want just once for the girl to be like, "No, I like my fast-paced life, and living in a city doesn't mean it lacks meaning, thanks all the same." and for the guy to be like, "Maybe I'm just bogged down in pointless tradition and stuck in my ways and should give change a try." And then he moves to the city to be with her and they live happily ever that way. (Or, hell, maybe they don't live happily ever after at all because it turns out trying to meld two completely incompatible lifestyles is stupid, okay.)

(...this is why Sylvia doesn't even bother asking me anymore to go see movies like The Vow, isn't it?)

Anyway. Does this exist? Someone tell me this exists. I really want it to exist. Please?

In other news, have some pictures of our animals.

The Original Series and The Next Generation.

Donna and Remy are BFFs.

There's Ten, making himself comfortable in the dip in the futon.

"Hi!"

"What?"

That's her blanket, don'tcha know.

That's all for now, I think.
