This scene, you guys. I love this scene so much. Bartlet curses out God in the cathedral, in Latin, after the funeral for his secretary and older-sister stand-in, Mrs. Landingham, who was killed by a drunk driver. All of this is in the wake of his MS, which he had concealed, being made public, and then on top of that, the decision is up in the air as to whether or not he'll run for re-election.
I think this is probably one of the best episodes of television ever written and acted, and I'm not being hyperbolic when I say that. This scene especially encapsulates that, as Bartlet quietly rages at God over everything; the writing was excellent, Martin Sheen's performance was excellent, and it seriously gave me chills. It's hard for me to articulate everything that is so amazing about this scene in print, because you really need to watch it for yourself.
