"Who the fuck is Sarah Palin?"

I’m hanging out at my brother’s for the weekend, which is cool. There’s random wireless to steal, so that’s handy. =P We’ve been playing a lot of board/card games and having fun times, plus having a little bit of political discussion to keep things interesting. (I have been forced to watch more Fox News this weekend so far than I have ever watched ( Read more... )

Agreed. My household isn't likin' the lack of experience on both sides.

My Mom is talking about nixing her usual straight ticketness. Be scared, your aunt is going to vote republican.

I've already accepted that my brother is voting Republican. It makes absolutely no sense to me, but, you know, he can vote against his welfare all he wants. (I don't think he quite understands that when conservatives talk about cutting taxes, the people who benefit from that are the super rich, a group that he is not in anyway a part of.)

Personally, I'll take lack of experience over another four years exactly like the last eight. Wait, my bad, I forgot; it'll only be a 95% similarity. God, that John McCain. What a maverick!

Mom is going into uber-paranoia mode over Obama's Islam connection. Keep in mind this is the same woman who wouldn't let me purchase a copy of a Stephen King book b/c she thought it was a true story and the book could bring evil into our household...

Yes, such a maverick... His response to Romney at the debates a while back on the topic of water-boarding- and if it was torture or not- was well said. Truth is, I don't think he's much of a leader, though. Brave soul, POW and all, but not leadership material.

Random: I wanna bang McCain's wife.

Seriously, we have ourselves a round of hot -first-lady candidates this time 'round.

...dude, please say you're kidding. Even if he were Muslim, which he isn't, why does that even matter? Oh god, your mom sometimes, I swear.

Haha, personally, I'd rather do Dennis Kucinich's wife. She's amazingly gorgeous.

That's what I said. Her main belief is that because his father was very much so a Muslim, that Obama is one too. Or at least will be very sympathetic, and thus weak on terrorism. Don't ask, she has this all figured out in insane-o world.

I wanna gets me some Michelle Obama-slam-o-rama. I hope Obama wins- it's been decades since we've had an ungodly beautiful couple in the White House. Did you see their kids? It's like they were genetically engineered.

Ummm, she's aware that Muslim =/= terrorist, right? Oh, Aunt Doris. ILU, but sometimes you are a fucking idiot.

Plus Michelle Obama is just awesome. Anyone who can get Stephen Colbert to sing to them wins at life.

*wince* Dude, please watch the language when you're talking about my Mom.

But, yeah, I know, Muslim =/= terrorist. She knows that, too, but she worries if he'll be softer on terrorism or swayed in anyway. I am trying to convince her otherwise.

She got Stephen to sing? Dude! She does win at life! Top drawer! What did he sing?
