I'm kinda falling in love with the little tufts of black thread coming out of the neckline of Claude's gown, and it might be coming out of the weaving of the embroidery/trim on the kirtle neckline.  It's just a little bit out of the ordinary, and uses black silk thread I just happen to have a buttload of.  Plus, it looks like the blue gown might ( Read more... )

I am a moron for not getting pictures of my finished (at least, a lot moreso) Tudor gown from Solstice. Spending most of the event handsewing lacing rings, and waiting for an hour for the single bathroom to open up (!!!) put the actual wearing of the gown to a minimum (very tail end of court, feast, and more court), before I had to change back and ( Read more... )
