Right. Well anyway, I decided that I'm long overdue for a new post. Hence these scribblings. I've actually meant to to this for a few days now. If Friday Richard had gotten his way, this whole post would be a long winded (and footnoted/exquisitely detailed) rant about Sonic the Hedgehog, mainly regards to the recent butchering of his memory/good name by Nintendo and the gored remains of Sega. I agree with whoever posted about it on Kotaku; no character should be able to beat sonic in a race, unless of course it is Super Sonic racing himself, or even Hyper Knuckles racing normal Sonic. An argument could be made that Mecha Sonic can maintain the -same- speed as Sonic for a short time, but eventually his engine overheats and he melts/crashes. Fuckin Mario should never even be able to approach Sonic levels. Moreover, fuck the devs on all the new sonic games who feel the need to introduce alternate characters for the players; Sonic and Knuckles should be the core, Tails is fine. Although, to be honest, no true Sonic fans like Tails (having consulted with several, I feel confident in asserting this).
But that's just a small portion of this post. So it's not a whole rant. I should probably write here (in case you haven't heard be in person) that Pendulum is awesome. I will espouse their kickin' beats unto the end of time (or, more accurately, whenever I get bored of them). Especially Slam.
Hangin' at Sunny's was cool. Perhaps more planning next time would avert 1 AM games of Truth or Dare. Which, actually didn't turn out that badly. But. The seemingly interminable discussion on whether we should go to the lake, maybe the graveyard, no wait! a stripclub! but not really, well maybe the graveyard WTF FROG lawl what are we doing again? oh no I was gonna stay What's with the fuckin' pussy soup I'll be outside hey we should go to Nevada no SF is better same distance compromise bakersfield lol im a bit tired no turn out the other lights close the door there we go so we're NOT going to nevada, right no no we are...
Maybe we could avoid that again.
Also me seeing Superbad at some point is a thing that is going to happen. Plan accordingly.
