...obviously I decided to finish Harry Potter instead. All told it took be about six hours, but it was spread out over a couple of days. Anyway.
Type your Not gonna lie, almost forgot to cut this post. Anyway. Thoughts:
(these are in no particular order)
1) The Hallows rune/symbol looked waaay lamer than it should have. I mean, it's not hard to make a rune look good. I just felt like more was required; I doodle stuff like that in class. Anyway. W/e.
2) Victoire is an awful name for a girl
3) I really enjoyed finally learning about the Bloody Baron. I thought that was cool. Also, to the Gray Lady (or w/e): You, ah, wanna maybe share tidbits like that with some homies? Huh? Maybe?
4) The last third of the book is really where it shines. The first half, especially, felt kind of awkward. Also I am so fucking tired of Harry's little emo rages about...you know, whatever he decides is unfair at the moment.
5) I really love Neville a lot, but I felt like he should have died. He's a character everyone (I think) loves a lot, I felt like his death would ahve been appropriate, given his recent shenanigans against the baddies, as well as meaningful. Way more meaningful than Cedric Diggory was supposed to be (did anyone really care about that? really?).
6) Favorite line: "HAGGER!"
7) Least favorite line: Mrs. Weasley's soon-to-be-if-it-isn't-already famous line directed at Bellatrix. This requires a bit of explanation, I would imagine, as I'm sure I'm a minority on this issue. I really love Mrs. Weasley a lot, I think she's one of the best written characters in the whole series. I also like her a lot as a person. I also love her being badass and taking down Bellatrix. But the line felt like really, really forced fan service to me. Who actually talks like that? Maybe I'm being nitpicky here, but nobody that...primally angry says anything with a comma in it. And if they do, they wouldn't say "you bitch" they would say "bitch". It would be obvious who they were talking about to everyone in the vicinity, if not the reader. Even if it wasn't, Mrs. Weasley is hardly in a frame of mind to clarify for everyone else. It is entirely possible that I didn't read carefully enough, so, as i assert my next point, bear with me and feel free to correct me. I feel like the line would have been better and more realistic if something actually happened to Ginny. I just read that she was in danger, if I'm wrong, then my problem is really just with the offending extra pronoun. It's a small thing, but it made a big difference to me.
8) I also have not read the sixth book recently, but is the lake's significance to Voldemort ever explained? Could someone refresh my memory? I was wondering the whole book.
9) I liked that it was Hagrid who bitch slapped Macnair around.
10) I love the name Alberforth (also diggin' on Scorpius).
11) I thought the whole Elder Wand's real owner business was a little too deus ex machina-ey. It felt a bit forced.
12) HAGGER!
13) Poor Hedwig
14) I liked Snape's backstory.
15) NO QUIDDITCH WTF
16) I think by not having them attend Hogwarts, book 7 really lost something. I understand it and I think it makes sense that they didn't, but part o the reason I liked the rest of the series so much was that Hogwarts was kind of an escape for me, what I wished school could actually be like.
17) I don't think the books will have nearly the same impact on anyone else as they did on us. If I have kids, they get one per summer, starting at 11. It's the least I can do.
18) Ravenclaw's way to enter their common room is easily the coolest (for a variety of reasons) but it also seems like the easiest to break into as a result. You just have to be smart.
19) I liked Griphook's appearence, just because I remembered him from the first book and I thought that was neat.
20) Reading the seventh book reaffirmed my desire to never see any more of the movies; after having seen the first one, I don't see how the others would be vastly different. The first movie took my treasured mental images and did horrible, horrible things to them. I really detest the movies and denounce them as shameless exploitation of innocent fans by greedy corporate whores. Not that I'm surprised, I'm just disgusted. The main trio is especially offensive to me; if that's what Rowling intended them to be like (which I doubt), I sincerely doubt that her series would have taken off in the way it has, or, ironically, been worthy of film adaptations.

21) I wish Krum had made another appearence toward the end.
22) Now that I know more, I really like Petunia's character a lot. I'm still really meh on the other Dursleys though.
23) Stan Shunpike, you get way too much ink for who you are. Shame on you.
24) I might post more later, but that's all for now.
25) ITS OVER U_U_U_U_U_U_U_U_U_U_U_U_U
