More blessings at Mass today.
Unfortunately, Father Hughes wasn’t there to giggle at me.
Mass was said by Father Duffy, who is ok, but likes to sing everything.
Mass takes even longer when Father Duffy is in charge.
He didn’t whisper a little prayer when he blessed me either.
Just pushed down on my head as hard as he could.
Still, his fingers didn’t burn when he touched me, so I must be ok with the big G.

Actually, I know I’m ok with the big G cos Arsenal and United drew today.
I didn’t want Arsenal to win, cos that’d mean them moving even further ahead of us, and I didn’t want United to win cos then they’d move even closer behind us, so I said a little prayer during Communion asking the big G for a draw.
He loves you guys, but I’m his favourite!

Went shoe shopping again after Church but still couldn’t find anything remotely passable.
I am being picky, but this is my Confirmation and it has to be just right.
The Monroe-esque shoes were ok, but not quite the right colour for my tweed jacket or my new dress.
The slides were pretty but showed too much of the scar on my foot. It’s still pretty red down there.
And Gap didn’t have the jeans I wanted in my size/leg length.
So, not a good shopping day overall but tomorrow my boss is taking me to a big shoe shop a couple of towns over so I may have better luck there.
It’s getting pretty desperate.
Those Dior mules are looking more tempting as the days go by.

Must start praying to Saint Bartholomew.
He is the patron Saint of shoemakers, so maybe he can hunt down the perfect pair of b/w heels with a close toe and ankle strap, somewhere this side of $250.
However, when I think of Bart I think of the smelly crazy guy from ‘LAMB: The Gospel According To Biff’.
Surely he can’t be trusted to locate a pair of super sexy shoes.
At this stage though I am willing to give anything a try.

We were talking about Confirmation names before church.
The teacher wanted a list of everyone’s names.
I am happy with ‘Lucia’… was picked out one very drunken afternoon as the Fifster and I watched the footie, and it has stuck ever since.
But one of the ladies in the class is having ‘Francis’, after Francis of Assisi and I was so upset that I didn’t think of that.
I like the male Saints but couldn’t figure out how to persuade them to allow me to use ‘Sebastian’ or ‘Anthony’.
But when she said that she wanted his name, they all thought it was a good idea, and even suggested using ‘Francesca’ instead.
Ilove that name!!
I would have had Frances too (that spelling)
After Frances Farmer of course, or the Bean which isn’t very holy but then neither am I.
Still, I am happy with Santa Lucia.
At least Dean Martin has sung a song about her.. doesn’t get any cooler than that.

6 days till I see St. Gregory!!! ;)
