Yay!

Oh. My Life!!
What more can I say???

I left my house at halftime, so that I’d catch the noon boat to NYC.
Chelsea were losing to Wolves 2-1, after scoring in the 3rd minute.
I didn’t expect us to fight back, seeing as the Bridge is a lucky ground for Wolves.
But…. Oh happy joy… I return home to find that my boys, my beloved blue boys won 5-2!!!
Hasselbaink got a hat trick too!
I can’t really articulate how happy Chelsea make me, but my grin is about as wide as Franco’s right now. (which is pretty darn big!)
Lalalalalalalala!

So… NYC.
I had grand plans of returning home with many pairs of gorgeous shoes, but it wasn’t to be.
Firstly, Kate Spade didn’t have the b/w spectator shoes that I wanted for my Confirmation outfit, despite me seeing them online at Nordstrom yesterday. I was ready to part with $250 too.
So, I decided to find Nine West and buy the pretty pink or b/w mules (for Holy Thursday) and the pointy black shoes (back up Confirmation shoes) instead.
However Nine West wasn’t where it should have been, according to the store locator online.

My shoe shopping plans were abandoned, so I decided to work on finding the items of clothing I needed to complete the various Easter outfits.
It’s gonna be such a fashion show!

I found a sheer black halter top to go under my suit (in Warehouse) and bought it, but decided that the one gorgeous black corset style top I already own works better.
Can always do with one more sexy black top in my closet.

I also bought (in Zara) a gorgeous pink/white tweed short jacket. It’s beautiful, and will look great with smart, dark jeans (getting them tomorrow) and pointy shoes.

Also bought a bunch of Capri pants for the summer (a summer/beach wardrobe is alien to me) and every cross necklace I could find in H&M.

I think it was a successful shopping trip after all.
I was only going to hunt for those things next week, so I switched things about.
Besides, I’ll probably end up going to the mall tomorrow after Church because I saw a pair of shoes last weekend which I liked, mostly because an old lady came up to me as I was lovingly looking at them and said that she could imagine Marilyn Monroe wearing them.
I knew I needed them then, although I couldn’t figure out what I’d wear them with.
I think they’ll match my new tweed jacket perfectly.

So, that’s what Sara got up to today.
My feet hurt and my nose is running, but I am happy happy happy.
Good shopping, good football, and a cook out on the grill for dinner.
T’was an Atkins delight!!!
All the ribs, sausage, burgers, chops… that you could eat, numnumnum!

I wanna get confirmed every year!!!
