It's not official yet, but according to the class websites I have an "A" in two of my classes. Which means that unless I completely bombed my final paper in Suffering and Death (considering how that teacher grades I don't think this is possible) and some how failed my pass/fail nursing elective, I have a 4.0 this term! It has been my goal since Sophomore year to get a 4.0 at least one semester of college. And I think I've managed it! I would have managed it the last 3 or 4 semesters in a row (minus summer) except that in the nursing program you need a 95% to get an "A". For the last two years I've been getting all "A"s and one or two 93-94% grades which would be an "A" in any other major. Which is why I'm so excited that I managed this. Also, I got a level three (the best you can do) on my maternal/child ati. I actually managed a 91.7%. Considering that passing is something like a 65%, getting anything above 90% is considered pretty much impossible. This has been the semester of happy grades. That being said, I'm so glad it's over. Only one more to go!
P.S. My community rotation is school nursing. I know that probably sounds like hell to most of you but I'm super excited for it! I hope I get a peds capstone. I've decided that while adult nursing is tolerable, that's pretty much all it is. Also, I really need to start getting my resume together/ job searching. If I want to stay in the Portland area after school I need to start looking now. Otherwise I either have to go rural (so not an option for me) or move somewhere like California or Texas.
