the oasis is gone

I am so sad that my favorite free art near work is gone. It was an installation at the Chicago Cultural Center (Michigan and Randolph) which is on my way to several of my regular work errands. It was a collaborative project of two Brazilian artists.

The Cultural Center is free and has entrances on Randolph and Washington, so I would sometimes take a walk though as a "shortcut" on my way to the bank or the Daley Center or whatever.

The installation was a pool surrounded by trees and flowers and rocks, created entirely from discarded clothing. They had bird chirruping and water sounds playing in the background and the air conditioning was especially pleasant on the super hot days of summer.

I went through yesterday, and it was gone. Now its brightly lit white walls again, with geometric art on the walls.

And I can't remember the names of the artists or even the installation's name.
