So I'm signing up for the writing class I've gotta take, looking for sections that are open AND fit my schedule (not an easy task) and I notice that Nnedi Okorafor-Mbachu (some of you may remember her from Wiscon) is teaching one of the sections. Of course its full and conflicts with an engineering class! Grrrr!
I am so missing a chance to actually enjoy a goofy university requirement. I'm almost tempted to not take it so I can sign up for it during a semester when I don't have schedule conflicts with her section (if she teaches it again). Because it's classes like that, where its a boring requirement but you get an amazing person as your professor, that I most remember and enjoyed from my previous university days. Well, maybe I'll get lucky and Nadya Pittendrigh, who is teaching the section I did get into, will be fabuluous.
