Rainy-Day Activity Sheets for You.

May I present my 1983 A-Team coloring book. I expect many of you weren't born during that time; however, the A-Team was one of our favorite TV shows back in the day. My favorite character was Murdock, hands down.

I am pretty sure I was around 5 when I owned this. Of course, since my parents save EVERYTHING, this was in their basement. My mom had included it in a pile of things for Moira, because what parent would not want their five-year-old daughter carefully coloring in the following scenes?

First of all, it has a really badass Mr. T!!!!!

It also teaches children that women can have jobs too.

Aaaand also it teaches them about the origins of Blue Steel:

And about Cold War-Era International Relations:

And how to locate and use appropriate combat language:

And what happens soon after Face commits adultery:

And occasionally it threatens you with a curb stomp:

But the BEST parts of it are the pages where you can color in themes and do activities relating to Murdock's mental illness.

In one, you can color him in as he lies in his VA Psychiatric Ward Hospital Bed:

Then there is the related "Hospital Words" word find, always fun for kids:

You can help the poor man get his bearings as he tries to escape the ward:

Or even complete a fun "Murdock is crazy" word search:

Kids can learn that Murdock can fly anything, as this illustration demonstrates. What IS this thing?

Even himself.

Finally, the overarching lesson:

And, completely unrelated? Ator. It's not him flying; it's the human spirit.
