I've never really had any pets as an adult, and I'm not sure that a fish even qualifies, but it wasn't really mine anyways, it was my son's. Supposedly low maintanence, and it was, for the most part. I noticed once about six or nine months ago that she didn't look very good in tap water...so I had been changing her water with bottled water. Well, yesterday there was no bottled water at room temperature, so I just used tap. She looked sad, maybe, but fine. She spent all day in her bowl, and went I walked by today, she wasn't there. I looked around the table, nothing. We have NO other animals, so I didn't know what was up. She had flopped her way all the way on the floor, for who knows how long. It was kinda sad...I guess she jumped, she would have had to... Now I have to tell Nate that his fish is dead. I hope he doesn't cry, cause then we'd probably end up with a damn puppy!
We got rid of Nate's bed, and replaced it with Leslie's. He LOVES it. He went from a crib mattress to a full size bed. He spent a week in McAlester with my mother, and he seemed to have fun down there. He hasn't used his inhaler in probably a month. My mother was/is pushing me really hard to put him in second grade, but I don't think he's ready. Yes, I think he's smart, but I don't know about THAT smart. I know my mother has the best intentions, but I think McAlester is DEFINITELY not as good of a school district as Jenks, and he's not really ahead when compared to others in Jenks.
I'm wanting a house SO bad...I think it's cause I'm a bit older, Nate's been asking for a yard for a full year...but finding one where I want and what I can afford seem to be a difficult task. We have to wait for Leslie to finish out her lease, it was about the same price to finish it out as it was to buy out of it. I think we can get what we want if we go in together... Also, Jenks was ranked #43 on places to live, it's the only town in Oklahoma that was in the top 100.
I'm in the final two weeks of my LAST class at TCC...I wish I was done with all of my schooling, but alas, I've barely just begun.
