Drabble: The Night Before

He glowered at the couple that was currently laughing and twirling their way around the dance floor, visualizing three hundred different ways to kill Blaise -the bastard, damn him to hell- as soon as humanly possible.
Blaise said something to her and she threw her head back in laughter. Draco sighed. Fine, he would let Blaise die without much pain since he made her laugh. Oh, that and the fact that they were best friends before he whisked Granger onto the dance floor. ‘Poison,’ he thought as they continued dancing and laughing and staring into each other’s eyes like they were a match made by sodding Merlin in sodding heaven, ‘definitely poison.’
Blaise whispered something into her ear, his eyes momentarily meeting Draco’s, and Draco watched in rage as Hermione blushed deeply.
Draco had to restrain himself from growling, instead taking a swig of his firewhisky, relishing in the burn of his throat. Now he was going to brutally murder Zabini. He was going to rip his limbs apart and burn him into ashes.
“You don’t have to stand here and watch them, you know?” Harry said conversationally to Draco as moved to stand beside him.
“Watch who?” Draco managed to grit out as Blaise moved his hands down her lower back. Screw Zabini’s limbs, he was going to rip of his genitals.
“Blaise and Hermione,” Harry said matter-of-factly, “Don’t worry, Blaise knows you like her. Heck, everyone knows. Everyone except Hermione but come to think of it, I think she knows too. And I’d wager Blaise is just doing it to make you jealous.” Harry took a drink of his firewhisky, “And by the looks of it, he’s doing quite a good job.”
“Shut up, Potter.” He downed his drink and scowled. Setting his empty glass on the table, he stood up. “I’m going to get her.”
“See that you do,” Harry said, a smirk on his face, “I’ve got money on you getting to Hermione tonight.”
