(no subject)
I have a party to go to tomorrow night. A themed party. I need to come up with a stereotype that I wasn't in high school. Considering my 'style' didn't really fit any stereotype during high school and mostly consisted of a pair of jeans and the first shirt I found that was clean, that theoretically should leave my options open.
But I'm still having no luck. I don't want to go goth because that's too easy. And I want something that I feel mostly comfortable wearing while still feeling cool, because this party is happening at a function room in a bar, so there'll be showing off of this outfit in a public setting.
So far, my best idea is to pick a character from Skins and model a style based on them. And honestly, if I could pull off an Effy Stonem look (which is what I'm heading towards), I would feel incredibly awesome. Unfortunately my wardrobe really doesn't fit the slightly grunge rock chick look at all. I'm thinking a shopping trip tomorrow and unnecessary spending of money may be in order. I have been eyeing off the idea of getting a pair of 'military' style boots anyway. And costumes are fun!
Anyway, if anyone has anything to add to my idea, or any other suggestions, they'd be most welcome!
