Well I'm back in Athens for the last quarter of my undergraduate career.

But first a wrap up of the rest of spring break...

Let's see... well Wednesday I worked at the library in the morning. I was the sorter and it was funny b/c Marlene (one of the supervisors) kept coming back and asking why I wasn't done sorting yet because she wanted me to shelve in Juvenile and she didn't realize that sorting is a job that has to be done constantly and doesn't leave time for shelving. Then in the afternoon I went shopping at Crocker Park in the afternoon. Crocker Park is one of those outdoor malls and it was kind of cold and rainy that day so it wasn't the best weather but I still got a couple of things so it was fun.

Thursday I went downtown and had lunch with my dad. We had lunch at the Winking Lizard and then went to the Indian's team shop. 13 days till Opening Day! Woohoo! After lunch I stopped in at Tri-C and talked with some of the people I have worked with the past few summer and winter breaks. It looks like I will most likely be going back there to work this summer unless a library job comes along. After Tri-C I went shopping at Tower City. I got a great pair of $15 corduroys from the A&F outlet and a really cool Bruce Springsteen Hard Rock Cafe shirt for my dad.

Friday Katie and I went to see Living Stations of the Cross at St. Charles. That was really nice, they did a good job and the singing was excellent. After that we went over and visited at my aunt and uncle's and played their new slot machine. Finally I saw the movie Miss Congeniality 2 Friday night. That was a pretty funny movie, the only thing I was bummed about is that the guy isn't in that one.

Saturday I worked again in the morning. I was doing the list again which is always a fun challenge. In the afternoon I did laundry, packed and frosted my bunny cake for Easter. I ran a few more errands in the evening, got a new pair of tennis shoes for like $15 and finished up the packing.

Sunday was Easter and we started it out bright and early at 9:00 mass. It was kind of a very unique mass experience - needless to say we sat in the third row of the church, typically the old people section - that always makes for a unique experience. After church I packed the car and then we headed over to my granny and grandpa's house. I helped her get the table set and things ready for dinner. Right about when they were ready to eat we left and headed down the street to my aunt's on the other side of my family for dinner. We were over there for a couple of hours and then it was time for me to get going. I went back to my granny's house to pick up my car and the cake, ham and green beans that she saved for me. I really enjoyed seeing all of the family on Easter but I wish I would have had more time to spend with everyone. By 4:30 I was on the road. After a long and somewhat rainy drive, I arrived in Athens.

Today was my last first day of my undergrad career. We have begun the quarter of last ______ fill in the blank. But anyways it was quite a rainy day. Classes were ok. My first class was Shakespeare's Comedies. I think that class is going to be harder than I was expecting but I have to take it so here goes nothing. The book for the course is huge, it is the complete works of Shakespeare and probably weighs about 10 pounds. In the afternoon I have tennis class. I am super excited about that class, I bought my tennis racket today and tried to buy tennis balls but Wal-mart was all sold out (some tennis coach bought them all) and the sporting goods store didn't have any. Guess I will have to try to go back tomorrow or wednesday and see if I can find some. My other class of today was Sign Language. I learned how to sign the alphabet and numbers. Tomorrow I have different classes then today and tomorrow is Magazine Feature Writing and Dance. Overall, I think this should be a fairly easy quarter. Besides that I am just settling into the new quarter classes and getting into the swing of things. I heard one of the songs off of the new Bruce Springsteen album today. I'll leave you with some of the lyrics... you can take a listen to the song by going to www.aolmusic.com

"I got God on my side
I'm just trying to survive
What if what you do to survive
Kills the things you love
Fear's a powerful thing
It can turn your heart black you can trust
It'll take your God filled soul
And fill it with devils and dust"
