beach day + WHERE IS MY ERGO? help!
I'm taking the kids to the beach tomorrow with my cousin, her 5 month old daughter, her husband and her mom (my aunt). I'm pretty sure this is a bad idea, but I haven't been to the beach in over a year, and I figure the only way I'm going to be able to go is with the kids. At least there will be more adults than kids. I'm sure my aunt will keep an eye on Weston while I play with Amelia in the water. I got her a little life jacket yesterday and it's so stinking cute. I figure if she gets away from me in the water, the life jacket is her best bet for survival. I know that's morbid, but that's really what when through my head when I bought it. It also has a uh....leash thing that I'm going to keep tied around my wrist so she can't get away. She's never been in the ocean. She's gone swimming in pools a million and one times, so I'll be curious to see how she reacts to the waves.
Also, (TMI alert) I just started my period, so that's going to be fun at the beach. Perfect timing.
In any case, I'm excited about tomorrow...and slightly dreading it at the same time. Does that make sense?
In other newssssss, over a month ago I ordered an Ergo from a vendor called bunksnstuff.com. I normally don't order from unfamiliar vendors, but I figured what the hell. It was the cheapest price I found online ($95 + free shipping) so I went for it.
My mail is a pain in the ass, and for whatever reason, half of my mail gets returned to sender. I don't know what I was thinking having it shipped to my house, because I know of these issues, but it turned out that the item was shipped and returned to them (I emailed them to figure out what was taking so long, and they said it was returned....which begs the question, why didn't THEY contact ME when it was returned?)
They wanted me to pay for shipping the second time around, and I agreed. No big deal. I sent them my credit card information and since then I haven't heard anything from them (yesterday I went and requested a new card - again - because I hadn't gotten a response and I was starting to freak out).
Fast forward to today, I have sent four emails without any response. I've called multiple times with no answer, and left messages without getting any response. At this point, I don't know what to do. I have never dealt with this before. Help me friends list! Do I contact the better business bureau?
I just want my damn Ergo! I feel like by the time it gets here, Weston will be walking.
