Last weekend Heather came over and taught my how to make Japanese Temari balls. They are yarn balls with designed stitched into them and they are easy to make and look really cool. I think I will need to do another learning ball after finishing this first one to make sure that I have everything down on how to make them before moving on to a harder pattern. I've been working really hard on a number of different things so I have been trying to reward myself with crafts. Yesterday I finished painting one mini and completely painted another. It was fun and relaxing.
We got a laser pointer for Lucien to play with and you wouldn't believe how funny it is to watch him run around chasing it. Of course, part of it didn't last long because he has been thieving things and chewed off the top of the laser pointer. It still works, but now it has some missing pieces. Other things high on the list to steal; napkins, coasters, chapstick (I have lost two this week), pens... You get the idea. The big thing is that Lucien has figured out how to get onto chairs in order to steal things so a significant amount of my time is spent chasing him and digging things out of his mouth.
