the revampification of my childhood memories
here's a NY Times article about all the cartoon/book characters of the '80s that I grew up with. So many of them are being "re-released," if you will, and the article discusses how they have all undergone makeovers.
I have to admit, I do prefer Strawberry Shortcake's new hair. The article claims that her original version was deemed "too fond of wearing bloomers."
At which time I feel compelled to point out that while most of my friends here wear drawers not infrequently, we are all far too dignified to let them show!
