I just made friends with the librarian at the public library and he has finagled all-day free parking for me while I study for boards over the next (gulp) week and a half. there are WAY fewer crazy-eyed med students here.
I spent about 30min sewing yesterday evening, but stopped when I ran out of lime green thread. I had a spool, but apparently have used that particular hue so frequently that I only had enough left to put in some darts and a seam. rats! I'm not sure when I'll have time to go pick up some more.
I made the mistake of getting a coffee yesterday morning ~9:30 and then sipping it *too* slowly over the course of the morning so I absolutely could not sleep last night. it sucked. I tried really hard, but ended up getting out of bed at 3am, showering, doing some work, and hanging out w/Tucker who is also an insomniac it would seem.
I got the first part of my clinical rotation schedule. It's not quite what I wanted, but the other students I'm rotating with are awesome. One is my roommate, and the other lives across the street, so, barring serious disputes over the radio station, we should be able to save a lot of gas money by carpooling. (currently $4.27)
I am SO ready to move on to the next phase of my life where I actually get to DO things rather than passively absorb data from textbooks and never leave the library.
but now, lysosomal storage diseases! what better way to spend a disgustingly hot afternoon!
