Embrace Arizona and all that it is; In order to live fully
I saw it in a movie tonight, except it was pretty much embrace where you are, not specifically Arizona, but for me that is where...
Life here is different, here is a list of things that have become my life
-My clothes smell like babies
-I don't sleep well, but I am rested
-I have a better prayer routine
-I live with 9 women and 4 babies
-I live in community
- I eat pretty healthy and drink lots of water, because its dry here
-I get excited to go somewhere, anywhere
- I live simply, try not to shop, don't really have to
-I live with people with common goals, opinions, and lifestyles
-I wake up to different babies crying through out the night, luckily I don't have to take care of them
-vegging out in front of the TV is common
-Forgetting to eat, trying to find time to go to the bathroom, and juggling many things is common. Sounds horrible and stretching but I signed up for it and its oddly relieving to forget about myself and live for others.
-sidenote: phoenix has a really neat art culture. I saw it for the first time tonight. neat art, people, culture, and music.
-I probably babysit at least 4 times a day, at least 2 hours a day. And am not tired of babies yet. They are too precious and amazing.
-Time is flying, I have been here just short of a month and its really going quickly, my time is always filled.
-Training of different kinds (adoption consulting, doula, mid-wifery, in-services, staff outings, staff meetings, office meetings, errands) there is always something going on, not exhausting but ... it feels good to be busy with purpose.
-Something of the things on my little list can sound hard or bad, but really everything I wrote, I mean in a good way.
-Change is good
