Mildred Nancy Elliott Shoemaker, 78, widow of James Carter Shoemaker, died Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at a local nursing center.
Born in Statesville, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Jim Elliott and the late Adder Savage Elliott.
Surviving are a son, David Shoemaker and wife, Mary, of Sumter; two granddaughters, Tori Richardson of Lugoff and Sarah Shoemaker of Sumter; and two great-grandchildren of Lugoff.
There will be no services.
