SJA crew as companions. And...discuss.
I've been thinking about this for a while; if the Doctor was going to take one of the SJA crew as a Companion, which one? (Let's assume for the sake of discussion that he can only take one for whatever reason.)
Luke is my favorite SJA character. Anyone who's read my fic, or, y'know, talked to me, has probably figured that out. But while I think he'd be an awesome Companion - imagine the TARDIS with those two at the controls? - I don't think he's the best. For one thing, he can't really provide the human perspective the Companion needs to have.
I think if it's only going to be one of SJA's crew, it has to be Clyde. Doesn't it? Clyde accepted everything he saw on Bannerman Road, mostly with a quip. He was instrumental in saving the day a bunch of times, he kept everyone's spirits up, he owned up when he made mistakes and did his best to solve them.
The others would be brilliant Companions; I would love it if Eleven rocked up in Bannerman Road and swept the whole lot of them off. But Clyde, for me, will always be the best choice.
