in relation to friday's post, i have made a few more blocks. not nearly as many as i had hoped but i think i need some more colours to cut cause none of the ones i have left are matching or not matching nicely with eachother. so might need some more. also realized that if i want to sew these babies block on block and have a queen sized quilt with a 6 inch wide border all around i need to make 728 of them!!!! may be rethinking either the size or put them in groups of 9 (9patch style) and put mini borders around each one log cabin style and then sew them together. thus eliminating the need for such a ginormous amount of them.. :P
here are the quilts i've made ....i have posted these on craftster before so some of you may have seen them. and for everyone else i hope they inspire some quilting creativity.
the second quilt i've ever made the bug blocks were from various books. the jar my own design as well as the flowers and fluttery stuff around it. combines lots of techniques. machine quilted by a company that has a long arm machine :) very fun quilting. sorry the picture isn't great, its very hard to photograph alone :P (this was made before i had my extensive fabric stash, i probably would swap a lot of them out if it was at all possible. but hey its all a learning experience. also i just noticed that this picture was taken before i sewed all of the bug buttons on and google eyes for the frogs, just imaging them.
next one. tumbling blocks paper pieced. was christmas present 2003 for my boyfriend shawn. he loves it :D
i made his parents a small sofa quilt too that year but forgot to photograph it.
