better late than never
this is the present i made my mom for her 50th birthday. it has pictures of her when she was young and the middle is her family before her two brothers were born. anways. her birthday was in january so i feel bad having not finished it earlier but the idea was just stuck in my head and needed some time to become something good. i pieced it all yesterday morning. did the hand quilting last night (took 3 hrs and sore fingers to show for it :P) and sewed the binding on today after class. i'm really proud of how it looks and i know she will love it.
its about 14 inches square and not wonky in shape as it looks in the pic :P
my parents are meeting me in about 20 minutes so my mom and i can go to quilt guild meeting. good timing to give it to her. :)
