lisanys and i went to 151 Front today and met up with Beanfield, got our access cards and a tour of the facility, and peered at our octal cabinet. very nifty! :)

web services on kitrich.net are finally back up. everything else came back up this morning, but apache wouldn't come up due to library issues. it's all been rebuilt now, and appears to be up. let me know if anything else is acting wonky.

kitrich.net appears to be down. i'm investigating.

please remember to change any secondary nameservers you have that are using ns1.kitrich.net as their primary. the new IP for ns1.kitrich.net is 76.10.144.85. your domains will likely work intermittently until you do this, as the secondaries are still handing out the old IPs!

the glue record for ns1.kitrich.net was just updated, so name services should slowly start working again as things propogate.

kitrich.net is back up and running in its new home, and services appear to be functional again. anyone using kitrich.net for DNS will need to change ns1.kitrich.net in their domain info to 76.10.144.85 (instead of the old 216.220.40.202). let me know if you need help with this. the glue record for ns1.kitrich.net will be updated, I put in the ( Read more... )

emu.kitrich.net's new IP is 76.10.144.85, and emuvax.foreverchat.net's new IP is 76.10.144.86. ns1.kitrich.net, mail.kitrich.net, and any other sites hosted on kitrich.net will also be 76.10.144.85.
move continues, it's not back up yet. will post when it is.

kitrich.net will be down this afternoon for a move out of the current datacentre. I expect it to be down from approximately 1600-1900EDT, and its IPs will change during this time. DNS will, of course, be updated, and I'll post the new IPs here along with a notice once it's back up. Follow twitter for more in-depth moving details. ;)

CenterIM has been upgraded on emu.kitrich.net to fix issues with Yahoo! Instant Messenger. 4.22.5 is now installed and appears stable.

Yahoo IM changed their protocol requirements today, and CenterIM 4.22.3 no longer works with it. I attempted an upgrade on kitrich.net to 4.22.4 this evening, however this just makes it worse and causes CenterIM to crash when connecting to Yahoo. I have downgraded it back to 4.22.3 and will continue to investigate, but for now CenterIM on kitrich ( Read more... )
